Set of 30 Presets for Luminar
These presets allow you to add a colored background to any photograph. These backgrounds can be used to easily, and temporarily, view your mask, or you can add a blending mode to apply an interesting color fade to an image. Each preset is fully customizable, so you can finish off each image with your own unique photographic style and vision.

The Nicolesy Colored Backgrounds are good for many applications as shown by the tutorials here. Being new to image editing, I needed (and quickly received) a consult on how these color blocks work in AI without layers. The response was "You can use them in Luminar AI by applying one of the presets, then go into the Edit panel, then the Local Masking section and play with the blend modes and masking of the colored background in the texture section." This worked great and I was able to quickly create this visual Dad Joke for my son. I recommend these Colored Backgrounds and look forward to creating some "more serious" images. Ted B
Great to get some options to use with programs other than LR and PS. Reasonably priced and easy to download and start using straight away. Nicoles YouTube tutorials are also excellent. She is very easy to follow and has some great tips.
Nice to get some "how to use" instructions. Very helpful.
Hi All, Just been using Nicolesy's ‘Coloured Backgrounds’ and there is a shade for most purposes, such as colouring eyes or painting over existing base colours. Great value, the more you look at them the more uses you discover. Don’t forget to view her blog to see how to use them, and obtain tips for getting the most out of your software editing programme. Your software have proven valuable to me for its use in Luminar masking, especially the opacity that allows me to see underneath my (now colored) masking brush. I did not find the creative uses helpful, because I have other ways to more flexibly and easily apply colors; but that is not why I bot the software. Mainly for the first point above.
I really like this product
I saw you use these on the Macphun webinar with Laurie Rubin and thought it is a great idea for, as you said, limited uses like color changes or toning. I have success applying one and two on the base layer but if I try to add a layer Luminar will crash. I repeated this many times and check with other presets without any problem. If I have multiple layers and then switch to your preset pack it will cause a crash. Sorry for the poor rating but as good idea as they are I just can’t use it with the crashing issue. I wish I knew where the conflict is but it you can get it resolved I would be happy to take another look and increase my rating. FYI, I do have the most recent update for Luminar.
An excellent colour range set that i can see being used in many many different ways.
I appreciate your efforts and give away, however, every time I tried to use them Luminar crashed. I tried several times to uninstall and reinstall and still crashed. Sorry but thanks. D J
it doesn't work with luminar for windows yet, hopefully it will be soon, it looks like a very easy tool to work with.
As in other informational video, book, and articles Nicole has again managed to make the complicated understandable.
It must be a terrific "product" although I am not able to install it... I have a good feeling when bought Presets or other add-ons from Nicolesy so I don't fear any problems using it!!!! Danny
